Realities Indeed - 2 Peter 1:16-18

What does Peter do in 1:16-18? Peter launches a preemptive strike against scoffers who say that the Lord and Savior isn't going to show. Peter gives reasons to believe the promise that they try to deny–the promise of Jesus' second coming. Peter was one of a select few who were given a kingdom preview. He, James, and John were eye and ear witnesses of the glorious King who will one day make His return and reign over His kingdom.
