More Matters of the Heart

In Matt 5:27-37, Jesus continues to set the record straight about what the law given to Moses actually meant. He emphatically declares that lust begins in the heart and so we must remove from ourselves what is the root cause of our sin. If we do not then it proves we are not His sheep and so are cast into hell. Divorce is not something we should treat lightly. The only just cause for divorce are actions that either reflect infidelity or abandonment. Lastly, God takes His name seriously and so when you swear to Him you are obligated fulfill it, and quickly.
