Does the virgin birth matter?

We continue our look at the Gospel of Luke, this time covering the meeting of Mary and Gabriel. During this meeting Gabriel announce to Mary that she would be the mother of the Messiah. He told her that she would be the mother of Jesus in spite of the fact that she had not "known" a man. This fact was prophesied in the book of Isaiah 700 years before Christ. Does this matter? Can we as believers in Jesus Christ disregard this doctrine from Scripture, and still have a correct belief in who Jesus Christ is? The answer is that, yes it does matter what we think in this regard, and this sermon will teach you why this matters. In fact our very salvation depends upon it.
