Jesus Was Condemned, Though Faultless

God's justice and sovereignty is perfect. He gave the government leaders their power during Jesus' time on earth. Pilate judged Christ to be innocent but the Jewish religious leaders used their influence to have Christ crucified anyway. Jesus had to suffer completely for God to be just and the Justifier of the Elect, both Jews and Gentiles.
