The tension of ''inaugurated eschatology'': we are torn between the flesh and the Spirit, and we are suspended between Jesus' bodily resurrection and our own.

Exegesis: The scope of sanctified stress: Judah's messianic traits tether us to Christ (vv. 11-12); the brothers' weaknesses expose our vulnerability (vv. 13-17); all of our hope is always in our Lord Jesus (v. 18).

Further application: How to bridge this world with the next: by existing as our true selves, and by staying connected to our head.
