When God is for us

The Christian, we are reminded, does not live in a time of peace. The church has many enemies. Its doctrines and beliefs are under constant attack. We are urged to recognise where we might be vulnerable, being prayerful and watchful .

God will fight for his people. He who does not slumber or sleep knows how to deal with opponents of the church. He will defend His people, and preserve them from Satan's forces. The enemy of souls cannot ‘own' the Christian, we are Christ's indeed. The true Christian cannot be lost. God will even send the aid of angels to defend us.

Even with such an all powerful God on our side it does not mean we should be inactive. We are urged to have a mind to work, to serve and be prepared to contend for the faith.
