We are starting Chapter 3 again to understand fully the role of the serpent. There is a lot we need to know about this.

1 ¶ Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? This serpent was part of God's creation. It could speak and reason with man. No other creature could talk. This serpent in its original form is not the snake of today. The serpent asked Eve, “Eve, you mean to tell me that God said you can't eat of any the trees of the garden?” He changed what God said. God said they could eat of all trees except two. The serpent wanted to put doubt in Eve's mind. He was going to go over what God said, and twist it a bit. The serpent put in Eve's mind what great fun it would be if they went against God's rules. This serpent is not Satan. It is an animal created by God for man. It is subtle, crafty and intelligent. This pattern is still used to hurt us today. “Serpent” means to “hiss”, “to whisper a magic spell”. This may be the only creature that was able to communicate with man. God let Satan, in his fallen state at that time, to take over this serpent creature. It was able to walk upright. We know it could take to man. It was very intelligent and crafty. In the occult, there is an area where deacons do have control of animals. We saw that with the demons in the pigs. It is still going on today.
2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither .....
