The Letter To The Church At Ephesus
Series Book of Revelation
Why would we be interested in the problems of a few churches 2,000 years ago? Because the Lord has chosen to devote some 10 percent of this book to those 7 churches...this message is directed to the entire church of Christ throughout all time.
...Christ is called the tree of life (Rev. 2:7; cf. Prov. 3:18). He is the author of life, both natural life and spiritual life. His fruit is the blessings of life and of grace, both on earth and eternally. His people eat of His fruit freely, which nourishes and strengthens their souls.
...The Christian life is a warfare against sin, Satan, the world, and the flesh. Our mission is to subdue the earth (Gen. 1:28) to bring all creation under the Kingship of Christ (Eph. 1:10, 22; Col 1:16-18, 20; Heb. 1:2-3, 2:8, 10; cf. Rom 11:36; I Cor. 15:27-28; Eph. 4:10; Phil. 3:21; Rev. 15:4, etc., etc.)
...Evanjellyfishism says that Christians are to tread water and wait for Jesus to come back and rescue them. The Bible commands Christians to subdue the earth for Christ the King, and promises victory in human history!
