(58) The Effect of Your Speech on Your Heart - James 1:19-20

In Matthew 12:34 Jesus said, "Out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks." That's pretty obvious, right? If something comes out of your mouth, it's because it started in your heart.

But did you know it works in the other direction as well? What you say has an effect on the direction of your heart. You can change feelings, passions, desires, motives—all kinds of internal realities, for good or for bad, by the way you speak.
