One of the best skills you can ever learn is how to listen. That will improve your marriage, your friendships, it will give you better success in your career, it will give you ten times more influence with people.

But there's more to listening than you might think. Most people think if they can repeat what the other person said accurately, they have listened. That's not true. It's possible to hear what is said, understand the meaning, and be able to repeat it back word for word and still not really be listening in the biblical sense.
