Blessed Are the Unoffended
Series Gospel of Luke
61
We live in a touchy culture. It is easily offended and it whines and complains. Something has quietly gone missing: forgiveness and humility toward others. People are rampantly self-righteous. Humans are trying to make a case for humanism. They say they do not need God and truth is whatever they say it is now. The grace of God offends those who are self-righteous. It causes them to stumble. They get tripped up spiritually. It humbles them but they are proud. Jesus does not work according to their puny plans and demands for He is sovereign and in complete control of history. He says, "Blessed is he who is not offended because of Me."
