Christmas Preparations

Have you started preparing for Christmas yet? It's only a month away! As we consider the birth of our Lord as it is told in the Scriptures, we learn that God started preparing for that first Christmas night well beforehand. God is a planner. He has a plan and purpose, established before the foundation of the world, which he has set forth in Christ, for the fullness of time. Jesus was no 'Plan B'! Instead, in love, and according to the purpose of his will, God the Father has orchestrated all history so that it was 'at just the right time' he sent his Son. And, at the heart of this divine plan, is that he will save us from our sins. What confidence and joy we can have, even if things seem to be falling apart around us, knowing that nothing can thwart the Father's plans. No sin or surprise will catch him off guard. Instead, in the fullness of time, he will bring all things together in his Son, our Saviour.
