The Sovereignty of God & Prayer (3)

Prayer, we learn, is commanded by a Sovereign God. Call then upon Him. Pray without ceasing, and do not lose heart.

We need to remember that prayer works! Examples in scripture are numerous that testify to the fact that God hears and answers our prayers.

Let us not reason ourselves out of the duty to pray, but rather let us build up our prayer-life, let us be strengthened not weakened. Come then to the Throne of Grace, and see yet what the Lord may do!
