The whole book of Galatians is an effort by the apostle to correct our fleshly tendencies to be legalistic in our approach to the Christian life... SALVATION is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ…

And those of us who are saved are FREE from our slavery and addictions to sin… free from our former bondage to the world and our sinful self… free - - - not to continue in sin… but, to follow and serve Christ.

The problem – is that our natural tendency is to fall back into our old ruts of sin and our old ways of sinful thinking – 5:1,13. We are saved to be holy… but HOLINESS is not about what we do, or don't do… it's about what we are... Holiness is all about what's going on, on the inside…
