A teaching encounter with Jesus

The encounter with Jesus and the woman taken in adultery. In this passage we see powerful men taking advantage of a weak woman. They felt justified and righteous in what they did. The woman pictures the necessity of God's sovereign mercy upon mankind. This passage ought rather be referred to as the men caught in a scam. Instead of focusing on the woman and her sin, the passage focuses on the hypocrisy of man.
