Often we think wrongly about temptation and where it comes from and why it comes into our lives. Rather than endure and fight, we give in and hope that surrender will bring relief. We find true blessing when we overcome the desires of our flesh. In fact, we learn that we cannot say, "The devil made me do it." When we are tempted, it isn't the devil, it's our own depravity. So who shall deliver us from this body of death? I thank God that in Christ Jesus, He has!
