Mark 6.14-29 Rejection of the World

We come to the story of the beheading of John the Baptist. What was the reason for his beheading and how do we see this same hatred and bitterness in the world against the church? This was a precursor of the type of persecution the church would later face and is still facing today. And we don't want to ignore the same signs of sin running its course in our lives as well.
