Our LORD Commissions The Twelve Apostles
Mark 3:13 says, “And He goeth up into a mountain, and calleth unto Him whom He would: and they came unto Him.” Luke 6:12 tells us that before our Lord commissioned the twelve apostles, He “continued all night in prayer to God.”
- The Commissioning of the Twelve Apostles.
“And He ordained twelve, that they should be with Him.” Our Lord “calleth unto Him whom He would: and they came unto Him” (Mark 3:13). They obeyed the call. Spending time fellowshipping with the Lord is an indispensable qualification for Christian service, (Mark 3:14). This training prepared them to carry on the work after our Lord's death, resurrection, and ascension.
- The Message of the Twelve Apostles.
He says, “And He ordained twelve, that they should be with Him, and that He might send them forth to preach.” Mark 6:30 says, “And the apostles gathered themselves together unto Jesus, and told him all things, both what they had done, and what they had taught”.
Matthew 10:5-7; Matt. 28:19; Acts 1:8.
- The Method of the Twelve Apostles.
Christians must devote themselves to learning the Bible. (2 Timothy 2:15); house to house, city to city (Matthew 10:11-13); Those who rejected them were rejecting Christ.(Matthew 10:13-16).
The Lord is still calling for workers; preachers, missionaries, and soulwinners.
Will you answer the call?
