These encouraging words, in the Yup'ik language (Lower Yukon dialect) were delivered by John Henry at the Lower Yukon Conference, held in Scammon Bay in April 1979.

John Henry's grandson, David Axel Henry, brought the cassette of John Henry's preaching to our Men's Prayer Meeting, which we listened to on Thursday night, January 10, 2008.

John Henry (1901-1984) was a Yup'ik native, baptized in 1933 by Covenant Missionary, Oscar Andrewyuk.

John Henry was a deacon with Scammon Bay Covenant Church from the 1950s until his death in 1984.
