Christian Explains the Right Use of Money

Bunyan preaches a sermon on 'Money' through the mouth of his character, Christian. There are many excellent principles here, vital for a day in which religion is often characterized by 'Health, WEALTH, and prosperity'. Bunyan makes many Scriptural allusions such as Shechem, Judas, Simon the Sorcerer and Gehazi.

Christian refutes By-Ends and his friends. Afterwards, Christian and Hopeful spend some time in quietness and repose, with no outward trials.

But, soon, they meet up with Demas, who tempts them with a silver mine. While Christian and Hopeful resist, By-Ends and his friends fall into this trap, and are seen no more.
