Man, being sinful, mis-uses those arrangements God made for our well-being; and so they are corrupted. But God, being exceedingly patient and longsuffering, still allows us to continue using them despite our mis-use of them. And God, abounding in mercy, makes perfect use of those very things we have corrupted for our salvation in Jesus Christ. See this in the account of Noah and the flood.
