The Christ of God

Christ is mocked and scorned, beaten and battered, by unbelieving men. They ridicule his prophetic office, even as they fulfil the prophecies made about him and by him. They are outraged by his Messianic claims, even though his very words condemn them. So what do we make of this Jesus? Do we take him as the Christ of God, whose words do not fall to the ground?
