Jesus, Jerusalem, and Judgement

The sharp words of Jesus, the Prophet of Prophets are found in Matthew 22, 23 and 24. The false prophets of Jerusalem - Scribes, Pharisees, Sadducees - hoped to "entangle" Jesus in His words. How foolish! In the next chapter, Jesus issued a scathing discourse against them and their false religion. The 24th chapter prophesied Jerusalem's destruction. Luke records Jesus saying this will usher in "the times of the Gentiles".
