Salvation is by Grace through faith, it is the gift of God. Faith is the gift of God and it is through this gift that we are saved. It is given to those who are saved, it is not earned, it is not deserved, that would be debt, something that would be owed us. The only thing owed sinful man is death separated from the God we hated and we deserved everlasting destruction.
