Are We There Yet?

If you have had children with you on a long trip, you must have heard the question, "are we there yet?" or something close to it. A question that reflects a mixture of boredom, exhaustion, and anticipation. We have been on the road for so long, are we there yet? This question does also reflect the struggle we endure in our daily walk with Christ. The journey has been long, and strenuous, are we there yet?

The reality is, we are not there, yet. But we are on our way there. We need to keep reminding ourselves like Paul did in Philippians 3:12, that we haven't arrived. We are still on the journey. Apostle Paul's words make us aware that in this life God is at work in us, preparing us for the life we will live with Him forever. We are not there, yet. But we are invited to experience God's touch in everyday life. Like a runner who is gasping because only He can take us there. We are not there, yet! But we will be, soon and very soon!
