The Perfect Savior

John’s deep concern is that those who read his gospel will believe. The nature of salvation is such that our faith must have the proper object or it is not saving faith. This sermon presents who it is that we are commanded to believe. It is insufficient to merely say, “I believe in God” or even, “I believe in Jesus” without believing upon Jesus Christ the Son of God as presented in the written Word and declared in the preached Word.
