Job was truly a righteous and godly man. He was a man who feared God and was faithful to God even though he was a powerful man. His wealth did not cause him to sin or lose his faith. Satan did not believe Job's faith to be real and accused him before God. Satan could not harm Job without God's permission. God gave Satan permission in order to show His grace and glory to all of the angels, demons, and all of mankind through Job's faith in trial.
