The Voice of Conscience 1

While the conscience can plague a person to desperation, it is also a blessing. Those who are experienced at observing their inner lives will know how the conscience remembers, drives you into hiding, makes you feel fearful, anxious, irritable, restless or even fakely religious. Sadly, many of us ignore the alarm system and eventually don't hear it anymore. God gratefully grants Christians a way to live with a clear conscience. That way is Jesus Christ, the way by which we can draw near to God. Through Him we can have perfect peace with God. Jesus' provision of access to the Father is thrilling news!Even though Christians have sinned, we can be free before God in light of what God has done for us in Jesus and through His granting us both a new power and new nature so we can grow in holy living. True faith fights to hold on to what is true. It keeps confessing sin and trusting in God's forgiveness. The conscience, in that way, is clear.
