When To The Cross I Turn My Eyes ...

Jeremiah's doleful cry in Lamentations 1:12 has distinct echoes of Calvary ... “Is it nothing to you, all ye that pass by? behold, and see if there be any sorrow like unto my sorrow, which is done unto me, wherewith the Lord hath afflicted me in the day of His fierce anger.”

Words like these can be sent on a trajectory through the centuries - and become even more relevent on the lips of Jesus.

They apply to our Lord as He hangs in the crucible of death - Golgotha - bearing the punishment for our sin.

In this message we examine how Christ's sorrow:

  1. IS SORROW BEYOND COMPREHENSION;

  2. IS SORROW BEYOND COMPARISON;

... and press the vital question:

  1. IS IT SORROW BEYOND CONCERN?!

What does the sight of a suffering Saviour mean to you?!
