87% of Evangelical Christians Don't Know What the Gospel is or Justification

According to Barna, Gallop & Hunter polls 87% of people claiming to be Evangelical Christians do not know what Biblical justification is (rather believing that God helps those who help themselves). 77% of this same group believe mankind is basically good by nature. With theology like this, 87% of today's Evangelical "Christians" would qualify as Medieval Roman Catholics except without a pope. True Christians, besides evangelizing other religions, cults & pagans, now must look to the so-called "Evangelicals" as another mission field to reach with the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ.
