Do It Again

As we approach a new book it alway behooves us to understand what the author is trying to communicate to the people of God, what the theme or themes of the particular book are, and how we interpret it in light of all of revelation. Historically many commentators and readers of Ecclesiastes have taken a understandably a view of that the write is pessimistic or cynical as he reflects upon the nature of things. He is not wrestling with meaning, he is helping those who might be wrestling with meaning, purpose, and joy in a world that seems to be a kind of stuck record, repeating the same refrain over and over again.
