               being satisfied with where you are in your walk of faith
                         yet unaware of the dangers and deficiencies
                                  that have slowly crept into your personal life.

A. THE DANGER OF LOSING OUR SPIRITUAL COMMITMENT

      1.  The valley

      2.  Finding yourself in the wrong place

      3.  Compromising with idolatry

      4.  Unprepared for life

               a.  Bad stuff happens

               b.  People we love die

B. THE RENEWAL OF OUR SPIRITUAL COMMITMENT

      1.  Continual cleansing  [2]

      2.  Prompt obedience  [3a]

      3.  Sincere worship  [3b]

C. THE RESULT OF A RENEWED SPIRITUAL COMMITMENT

      1.  A new sense of God’s presence and protection  [5]

      2.  A reaffirmation of God’s promise  [9-12]
