The Promise Keeper

At first, Joshua chapter 12 with its checklist of dead kings and captured cities may seem like pretty boring fare to modern readers, but in actuality it is the evidence that God kept his promise made hundreds of years before to Abraham, and yet another link to the fulfillment of that great covenant that he made to send His Son Jesus, the one in whom 'all the families of the earth shall be blessed.'

God is and always will be the great 'promise keeper' of the Bible even when his people prove that they are not!
