We have elevated the family so that we're pouring all our thinking in how to have a family that's everything it ought to be. The most popular writings, and Christian programs are about family issues. Yet the scripture has relatively little to say about the subject directly, because the key to having a proper family is be a godly person. God's plan is to be godly. Set your mind on things above, not on things of the earth. If godliness is not the focus of your life, then you'll find the more attention you give to the family, it seems the more confused things get.
