In, Not of, Yet for the World

God intends for us is to be infused into the community and its culture, as a source of truth, and on display. This is a non-negotiable aspect of our existence as believers. We are salt and light. We are exposed. We are either useful salt, light that dispels darkness, or we are not -- but that we are salt and light does not change. Additionally, we are on display. People have every right, therefore, to look upon us and critique us. What are we adding to the community? Are we bringing light into the darkness? What do people see when they observe those who name the name of Christ?
