Joseph: Sent to Fetch His Brothers

Joseph knew of the anger, hatred and envy of older brothers. These destructive feelings were out in the open to him. Nevertheless, at his father's request, he received his commission and went to a dangerous place seeking them. Is this not a picture of Christ. He left the bliss and perfection of heaven, took on flesh, obeyed God's law, satisfied His justice and became the absolute Substitute for God's elect.
