Christian Response to Paris Muslim Terror Attacks - Billy Graham Rapid Response Team
Guest host Adam McManus [www.AdamMcManus.net] chats with Jack Munday, international director of the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team [www.billygraham.org/rrt], about how a team of seven French-speaking, crisis-trained chaplains will provide a listening ear and God’s comfort at the memorial sites where Muslim terrorists killed 132 and injured 352 people.
Founded by Franklin Graham in the aftermath of 9/11, the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team has grown into a nationwide network of chaplains who have deployed to more than 200 disaster sites, including shootings, floods, hurricanes, wildfires and tornadoes. Wearing jackets which identify themselves as Billy Graham chaplains, they will initiate dialogue with the mourners by saying, “I’m so sorry this happened” and asking “Did you know anyone hurt or killed in the attack?” When appropriate, they will hand out a 31-day devotional and journal entitled “When Your Whole World Changes”, French New Testaments and tracts about getting right with God.
