Do You Want God or Religion?

God spoke to the children of Israel from the mountain and gave them his moral law. They had a personal encounter with God and heard his law and immediately they removed and stood afar off. But Moses drew near to where God was. God's working with man still works this same way. Most people are happy to have a man tell them about the things of God and they are happy to have their forms and rituals of religion, but they do not want a real personal relationship with God himself.
