The Servant of the Lord

Idea: This chapter begins the Servant Songs of Isaiah. In this passage, God reveals that from eternity past, the Father covenanted with the Son to accomplish the redemption of His church.

The Servant, Jesus Christ, was called:

1. Called to declare the things to come.
2. Called to accomplish redemption.
3. Called to be a light to the nations.
4. Called to revive the poor in spirit.
