Why Study Theology Anyway?

In this introduction to the Systematic Theology series, we answer questions that may be on people's minds: "Why study theology anyway? Doesn't this just lead to division? Doesn't theology just 'put God in a box?' Doesn't studying theology lead to cold and lifeless Christianity?" We answer these objections and more--and, we look at what systematic theology is, and why it's an important part of the "shoe leather" of ordinary Christian life, and not just an academic exercise.
