The Spirit of Adoption

No doubt there is a spirit of adoption as there is a spirit of slavery. We mean that slavery has its own disposition of fear and adoption has its disposition of filial love and freedom. We are as Father’s children his workmanship, his poem. Jesus of Nazareth knew the wonder of the Father’s poem in a human heart. In him Father was spying out the glories of eternal family and writing them again into muscle and bone, blood and synapse. This fullness we have all been given as we are united in Christ.
