In these few verses James, with the great Law Book in hand, exposes our faulty practice and demolishes our errant argumentation. In essence, he says, You can’t blame others. In particular He says, Don’t Blame God! And with penetrating force reveals to us the real source of our temptations, saying: “Blame yourself.”
