Progress: Gospel and Growth

Paul shares a number the positive benefits of being in prison for preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. First, outreach - Paul's suffering for Christ has impacted the whole praetorian guard. Secondly, boldness - because Paul was in prison, most of the Philippian believers had far more courage to speak the word of God without fear. Thirdly, passion - though some were in criticizing Paul, others were preaching Christ from good will. Fourthly, celebration - the fact that Christ was being proclaimed caused Paul to rejoice, even in prison. Paul was elated to be used of God to successfully share Christ with the world.
