Marriage Matters

Paul comes now to apply the Gospel to human relationships. He begins with marriage, for it is, he declares, a mystery that was ever intended to set forth the wonderful union of Christ and the Church. Because of this both husband and wife have great responsibilities towards each other. It is also the great reason why the Church cannot stand by and allow (much less participate in) the destruction of marriage.
