The Trial at Vanity Fair

This lesson focuses on the treatment of Christian and Faithful in Vanity after their capture -- and the beginning of their mock trial under Lord HateGood.

There is reason to believe that Bunyan is writing in a somewhat autobiographical way regarding the English court system of his day. Pastor Steve spends some time going over our American 'Bill of Rights' which was a reaction to the English system, and by comparing the Bill of Rights to what transpires in this court trial, we can see some stark differences.

The lesson concludes with testimony against the Pilgrims from Envy, Superstition and Pick-Thank.
