Evil, Stupid, Clueless People! And we're not talking about 'those people'... are we?

393

We're working to do our best for all of you out there, and for now we're going to leave the Book of Habakkuk. The thesis statement of Paul is from Habakkuk 2:4... The Just.. Shall Live.. by Faith. How is it that Salvation by Grace alone, through belief in the person that is Christ Jesus alone, is embodied in Habakkuk 2:4? If you've listened to the six previous lectures, you're starting to get a glimpse of insight into this profound truth. God says, The just shall live by faith, and He says it audibly to Habakkuk in answer to his questions. Habakkuk challenges and complains and questions, and God gives His answer. You see, Habakkuk wasn't able to deal with a couple of things and... I should stop here and let our pastor give you this. You'll get more out of it that way.

Pastor goes over a brief history at the time of Habakkuk. It's important to gather context. The people who wanted to destroy Israel in this time worshiped their ability to kill, they rejoiced in it. That was their god. Habakkuk saw them as evil, stupid, and completely clueless, so, why would God allow them to come in and slaughter the southern half of Israel?

And now, in relation to this, pastor talks about the distinction between the Wife and the Bride, Israel and the Church. This is either taught incorrectly or not at all in most of the churches today.

Anyway... the answer God gave, changed Habakkuk. And again, pastor is better than me at explaining this. Is it a happy answer? Pastor explains. There will be 'Just' people, 'just' Jews, and they're going to live! How? By Faith!

And this study will give you the truth of salvation by Grace alone, through Faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone.
