The Anointing at Bethany

This episode forms the transition in John's account between the raising of Lazarus and the events which transpired at Passover. More specifically, it served as an interpretive pointer looking back to the Lazarus incident and forward to Jesus' impending death and its significance within His messianic mission. This message considers the Bethany anointing from that vantage point.
