Fruit, Meekness: It's not about being intimidated
Series The Holy Spirit
281
Meekness means not being overly impressed by a sense of our own importance.
This fruit of the Holy Spirit is a trait of the Lord Jesus Christ himself.
Therefore, it is not a sense of inferiority, worthlessness or failure. Rather, it is a focus on the welfare and needs of others.
For us, it is a profound awareness that any success in ministry is utterly due to the blessing of almighty God. It is also a profound awareness of our own potential for sin and doing great harm while believing that we are doing great good.
