Righteousness Imputed

The righteousness of God comes to us by way of imputation, not as a fruit of faith, but as the immediate act of God in justification.

It is not gradual, but immediate; nor is it in proportion to our strength or love, the fervor of our prayers, or even the degree of our faith. Rather we are accepted (Eph. 1:6) and complete (Col. 2:10) as a result of union with Christ.
