What is Witnessing?

A brief look at how the idea of being witnesses for God is rooted in the Old Testament context of challenging idolatry. God calls for the witnesses for idolatry to come and state their case as to why they think they are right. He then refers to Israel as his witnesses, to the fact that he is alone God, that he is a saving God and that by his creative, redemptive love he has made them a people and thus made them witnesses for him.
